GENESIS

The elementary school children’s religious education program, otherwise known as Genesis, is a program that teaches our Catholic faith to the children so that they can grow in their faith and relationship with God.  The program not only has catechists that share their gifts with the youth but also aids. 

The parish communities of Corpus Christi, St. Joseph and Sts. Peter and Paul have decided to combine the elementary school Religious Education into a tri-parish elementary school ministry called Genesis.  Genesis is our elementary school Religious Education for students in grades 1 thru 5th.  We meet every Wednesday from 5:30-6:45pm at the Faith Formation Center at St. Joseph's.  For a schedule of dates, times and places  see calendar . 

Sacrament Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist begins in the first grade and these sacraments are ordinarily received in the second grade.  Parents are asked to participate in helping to prepare their child for these sacraments by attending the required meetings and retreat day.
