Parish Council is a community of faithful disciples who have agreed to work together in close consultation with the pastor and staff, to prayerfully discern and carry out the will of God for this parish now and into the future.
A parish council exists at the mandate of the bishop, must meet at least four times a year, and may not be dissolved by a pastor without the permission of the bishop. The council listens to other members of the parish, the pastor and the Holy Spirit, makes decisions by concensus, and holds meetings that all members of the parish may attend. The parish council at Corpus Christi Parish meets the first Tuesday of each month.
